Extra Curricular
Activities
Our Preschool uses a wide range of extracurricular activities and services during the term usually on a Monday morning or a Tuesday afternoon when we have the use of the large Hall. This allows the children to interact with other adults and enjoy many different activities that the Preschool could not otherwise offer.
On a regular basis we hold Toddler Time sessions hosted by Annette who comes to the Preschool and provides the children with an interactive session filled with music and dance which is lots of fun. If you would like more information about Toddler Time please visit the website at www.toddlertimemk.co.uk.
Forest Schools provides our children with regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem, through hands-on learning experiences in our woodland and natural environment. Forest School's natural environment supports and develops the relationship between the child and the natural world.
Forest Schools is a long term process with regular sessions and takes place in a natural environment. It promotes holistic development, fostering resilient, confident and independent and creative learners. Forest Schools helps the children to take supported appropriate risks in the environment.
These sessions are run by qualified Forest Schools leaders and provides play and children's choices while experiencing a natural environment.
In the spring we will arrange visits to the local Primary school for those children who will be due to start there in the September. More details will be provided to you nearer the time.
